Penn Mutual CEO Presented with Executive of the Year Award by Chinese American Insurance Association

Non-profit organization honors Eileen McDonnell at 25th Annual Chinese New Year Banquet

HORSHAM, Pa. – March 11, 2016 – Eileen McDonnell, chairman and CEO at The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company (Penn Mutual), was recognized as the 2016 Executive of the Year by the Chinese American Insurance Association (CAIA). The award was presented on March 10 at the CAIA’s 25th Annual Chinese New Year Banquet held in Queens, NY.

McDonnell, who oversees the Fortune 1,000 life insurance company, was honored based on her commitment to the company’s advisors, ensuring that they are equipped with the tools and support they need to build their practices and deliver as promised to their clients. McDonnell’s career-long commitment to diversity was another factor for her selection by the CAIA.

“CAIA and Penn Mutual share similar philosophies in that we are determined to set our advisors up for success,” says McDonnell. “We share a passion and dedication to our industry to build a brighter future for clients and communities, and I commend CAIA for paving the way, especially in the expanding Chinese American community.”

The CAIA was founded in 1989 with efforts to aid the Chinese American community on understanding the benefits and needs for a variety of insurance products. The non-profit organization, which has 700 insurance-oriented members, also provides insurance professionals with education and resources to advance their professionalism in the industry.
